One of Australia’s most iconic tree-dwelling creatures, the koala, is celebrated in colour on this special 1oz silver proof coin in card.

The coin’s reverse depicts a close up coloured image of an adult koala with a spray of gum leaves. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s obverse.
