The Cubs series continues with the third release in this five coin series featuring the Snow Leopard.
The Snow Leopard is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. With powerful legs they are seen to be tremendous leapers, often able to jump as far as 15 metres.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse features two coloured snow leopard cubs in the mountains in Central Asia. The inscription CUBS and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the design.
Each coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2016 year-date and the monetary denomination.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of The Cubs – Snow Leopard 2016 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin.
The coin is presented in a classic display case within an illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
