These magnificent gold coins each celebrate the Year of the Horse, the seventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.
Every coin is struck by The Perth Mint in a rare square format from 1/10oz of 99.99% pure gold.
Each coin’s reverse depicts a coloured horse in a standing pose with the Chinese character for ‘horse’. Each design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of each coin.
Each coin in this stunning ten-coin collection is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
No more than 1,500 of these 2014 Year of the Horse 1/10oz Gold Square Ten-Coin Collections will be released by The Perth Mint from a maximum mintage of 7,500 for each coin.
Every collection is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
