Comprising of the 2014 Australian Kookaburra, Kangaroo and Koala high relief coins, this collection displays three of the most popular designs for the year.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
Each coin’s high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
The 2014 Australian Kookaburra coin’s reverse depicts a close-up portrait of a kookaburra perched on a tree branch with a background of eucalyptus leaves. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA.
The 2014 Australian Kangaroo coin’s reverse depicts an adult kangaroo standing on its haunches, next to a fence on a rural property in Australia. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO.
The 2014 Australian Koala coin depicts a close-up portrait of a koala with a spray of eucalyptus leaves. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA.
The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the 2014 year-date also appear in each coin’s reverse design.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are depicted on the obverse of each coin.
No more than 1,000 of the 2014 Australian High Relief Silver Proof Three-Coin Collections will be issued by The Perth Mint from a maximum mintage of 10,000 Kookaburra, 20,000 Kangaroo and 10,000 Koala coins.
Each coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The three-coin collection is housed in a display case within a beautifully illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
