The beautiful Snow Fairy lives deep in the heart of the cold wintery forest, flitting between the snow-covered cherry blossom trees.
This magical fairy brings fresh blankets of snow to the forest at dawn and dusk. Her snowflakes are pure white and fall like crystal raindrops from the sky.
Each coin is struck from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, each coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date on its obverse.
The reverse of the coin features a coloured Snow Fairy kneeling next to a cherry blossom tree, holding a snowflake in her hand. The inscription ‘Snow Fairy’ and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the design.
The Perth Mint will issue no more than 5,000 of the 2015 Snow Fairy 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin.
The coin is housed in a beautifully illustrated card that opens up to display a pop-up of the beautiful Snow Fairy with glittering detail.
