The Mint of Poland presents a coin „Christ with the Chalice” designed to commemorate the sacrament of the First Holy Communion.
The coin is a combination of sacral art, minting tradition and modern technologies – the famous painting „Christ with the Chalice” by Juan de Juanes has been faithfully mapped with multicolored digital printing.
A design of the coin as well as its packaging abounds in decorations and Christian motifs forming a harmonious ensemble maintained in sacral style.

Reverse:
The reverse presents a multicoloured digitally printed image of the famous “Christ with the Chalice” by Juan de Juanes. On both sides of the painting – a christogram IHS (a symbol of Jesus Christ in the form of an acronym) and a dove being the symbol of the Holy Spirit. In the background – stylized decorative motifs.
Obverse:
The central part of the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by inscriptions: ELIZABETH II, NIUE ISLAND (the issuer), the year of issue: 2014 and the face value: 2 DOLLARS.
