The coin is round in shape. The con’s edge is plain.

The obverse has: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center – the representation of a boy and a girl against the background of the starry sky, sitting on a swiveled crescent moon and holding an open book; beneath – the year of issue; and circumferential inscriptions: at the top – РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), and at the bottom – ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ (TWENTY RUBLES).

The reverse has: in the center – the image of Princess Turandot, the main character of the fairy tale, against the background of a stylized curtain which represents the miracles and riddles of Turandot: the tree of life against the Globe; on the left – the image of Lion of Adria; on the right (at the top) – the round zirconium insertion of a bright orange color which represents the Sun – one more Turandot’s riddle; on the right – the image of a magic palace; and at the top – the inscription ТУРАНДОТ (TURANDOT) against the background of the Chinese folding fan.
