Along the rim – inscriptions: NIUE ISLAND (the issuer), Ag 999 (the hallmark), ELIZABETH II, 2014 (the year of issue).

Reverse:
The reverse of the coin depicts a multicolour replica of the “Madonna of the Carnation”. On the right – ornaments characteristic for the Renaissance art.  On both sides of the painting – inscriptions: MADONNA OF THE CARNATION / MADONNA Z GOŹDZIKIEM (the name of the coin in Polish and English).
