This year’s Sydney ANDA Coin Show Special features a spectacular Year of the Goat tribute, celebrating the ideal of good health in the year to come.
The birth dates for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar goat include 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 and 2015. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be elegant, charming, artistic, gifted and calm.
This coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse depicts a coloured representation of a young mountain goat leaping between two cliff tops. The sun is rising in the background, signifying the dawn of a new day and good health. The inscriptions HEALTH and 2015 YEAR OF THE GOAT also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
Each coin is issued as Tuvalu legal tender under and depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date on the coin’s obverse.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the Lunar Good Fortune Series – Health 2015 1oz Silver Proof Coin in special ANDA Sydney Coin Show packaging.
Each coin is housed in special ANDA Coin Show packaging and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
