Coin Story
This silver proof coin with a serrated edge is dedicated to our constant companions: Cats and Dogs! The Prionailurus Bengalensis coin is the third of the Wild Cat coins to be released as part the ambitious Cats and Dogs series. The Prionailurus Bengalensis is a small wild cat of South and East Asia. Since 2002 it has been listed as Least Concern by IUCN as it is widely distributed but threatened by habitat loss and hunting in parts of its range.
Reverse Design
This 1 oz 999 silver coin features a beautiful full colour image of a Prionailurus Bengalensis set against a finely engraved rain forest background. Each of the coins within the Cats and Dogs series will feature a Swarovski Circonia stone. The Wild Cat Prionailurus Bengalensis coin features an bright orange coloured stone, delightfully shaped like a small bird.
Obverse Design
The obverse features the emblem of Republic of Fiji and is engraved with the specifications of ‘2 dollars’ and the year ‘2013’.
Packaging
The Prionailurus Bengalensis coin is housed in beautiful presentation case, coloured to harmonise with the bright orange Swarovski Circonia bird, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
