The Prionailurus Bengalensis is a small wild cat of South and East Asia. Since 2002 it has been listed as Least Concern by IUCN as it is widely distributed but threatened by habitat loss and hunting in parts of its range.
This 1 oz 999 silver coin features a beautiful full colour image of a Prionailurus Bengalensis set against a finely engraved rain forest background. Each of the coins within the Cats and Dogs series will feature a Swarovski Circonia stone. The Wild Cat Prionailurus Bengalensis coin features an bright orange coloured stone, delightfully shaped like a small bird.
The obverse features the emblem of Republic of Fiji and is engraved with the specifications of ‘2 dollars’ and the year ‘2013’.
